Be the Coolest Dad on the Block

Be the Coolest Dad on the BlockI used to worry about not being thought of as being cool by my children. I remember having friends with parents who I thought were “very cool.” Of course, I have a bit of a different perspective on things like that now. Those parents I thought were cool were basically parents who let their kids get away with anything and/or who behaved as though they were teenagers themselves. Well, here’s your chance to be the coolest dad on the block, at least during those pre-pubertal years. I’m sure mommies can pick up a trick or two in this book to help out with the cool factor as well.

This book is titled Be the Coolest Dad on the Block: All of the Tricks, Games, Puzzles and Jokes You Need to Impress Your Kids (and keep them entertained for years to come!). Here’s an excerpt of Mark’s review of this book on Boing Boing.

There are games to play on in cars and on plane rides and answers to questions like “Why is the sky blue?” and “Why is the sea salty?” I like the list of “misconceptions” the authors encourage you to share with your kids (”There’s a parallel universe on the other side of mirrors where people exactly like us do exactly the same things.”)
