Vote by Mail Procrastinators

Even though we have a vote by mail system in Oregon and received our ballots weeks ago, we’ve procrastinated. The other way to look at it is that we just want to share in the excitement of voting on election day and not before it. Sounds like a good excuse, doesn’t it? Although we’ve waited until the last minute, we are, indeed, getting our ballots in. It’s too late for us to send it in, but I have both ballots ready to drop off at one of the many drop-off locations on my way to a meeting in the next half hour. The local news station is reporting an expected 70% voter turnout for Oregon. Not bad.
