I remember running across some websites a while back that sold small lovey blankies with ribbon tags sewn all around the blanket, and I remember thinking why would anyone buy these? Then, about a month or so ago, I noticed that Pooky always went straight for the tag on anything I gave her to play with that had a tag on it. You know, those little tags that tell you the manufacturer and care instructions. Aha, a lightbulb went on, and I thought back to those blankies I saw and realized their purpose. Apparently, a lot of babies love to play with tags. They like the feel of them.
Pooky’s Tater Taggie arrived in the mail yesterday, and I love it. She does too. Work at home mom Alicia at Baby Taters custom makes these, and they’re so well made. It measures 12×12, and one side is fleece and the other is chenille. You pick the the fabric colors, and each made-to-order Tater Taggie is embroidered with your baby’s name on one side (you pick the font). She also has various embroidery designs you can add to your Tater Taggie for an additional cost. The tags, then, are coordinated with your chosen colors and are various widths, colors, and textures to keep your baby’s interest. I’m sure Pooky will enjoy hers for quite some time.
