Gray Hooded Sweatshirt

I’m not good at clothes shopping. Not for myself, and certainly not for Pooky. When I stroll through the baby girl section, all I see is a pink frilly blur. Much of it looks uncomfortable or geared toward a baby beauty pageant. It’s not that I’m unequivocally opposed to dressing my daughter in an extra-girly outfit, it’s just that I want some moderation. Pooky does, after all, have more stuff in pink than in any other color, mostly from her aunties. So, when I can find something that looks a little more cozy and comfy, I’m all over it. Luckily, May is on the same page. Which brings us to my favorite item in Pooky’s wardrobe, her gray OshKosh B’Gosh sweatshirt.

Why do I love this sweatshirt? There are so many reasons. It’s comfy. It’s hip. It keeps her warm. She’s incredibly adorable in it. Most importantly, she’s happy in it. I think of it as a clothing equivalent of comfort food, like an old pair of jeans and t-shirt would be for me. I haven’t seen a lot of clothing for baby girls that accomplishes all that. Of course, we had to go to the boys section to get it. Go figure.
