Pooky is sick. She’s been sick before, but not like this. The first time, a few weeks ago, she had a little fever. We panicked a bit, but in the end, despite all the time on the phone with the advice nurse, it wasn’t too traumatic for us or for her.

This time, she’s leaking snot, she’s grumpy, and she refuses to sleep. The good news is that I’m not so worried this go ’round. The bad news is that we’re suffering from sleep deprivation. I feel bad for her. I hope it doesn’t make me a bad person, but I also feel bad for us. We could really use some z’s after a night of waking up with Pooky every fifteen minutes. I feel like a zombie. Times like these make me really scared about having multiple kids.
