Desperate For Desperate Housewives Dolls

I can’t possibly be the only person who thinks the news (via Desperate Housewives Blog) about the Alexander Doll Company creating plastic Desperate Housewives dolls is a bit strange. First of all, if your children are young enough to play with dolls, they probably shouldn’t be watching Desperate Housewives, and therefore, it seems wrong to have Barbie-like dolls of the cast members of a “not appropriate for children” television show created as a children’s toy.

But wait, you say, these dolls aren’t made for children. They’re intended for adults who are such great fans of Desperate Housewives that they want to collect these dolls as keepsakes. Um, I think that’s a bit strange as well.

These dolls will be featured in the Spring edition of Fashion Doll Quarterly (FDQ).
